The International Balloon Festival (FIG) in León will take place from November 15 to 18, 2024, at the Metropolitan Park. The participation of more than 200 hot air balloons from around the world and approximately 400,000 visitors is expected. Access to the festival can be obtained through several types of tickets with different rates, ranging from 335 pesos for morning access to 3,240 pesos for the VIP pass.
The event will feature a schedule of musical and entertainment activities, highlighting encounters such as the flight of hot air balloons, performances by renowned artists like J Balvin, Armin Van Buuren, Marshmello, Julián Álvarez, as well as cultural and free events in iconic places in León like the Expiatory Temple and the Main Plaza. Additionally, special promotions will be offered, such as 2-for-1 passes on general admissions on the first day of the festival.
The daily program will include the inflation and takeoff of hot air balloons in the morning and a light show at night leading up to star concerts with internationally renowned artists. To facilitate mobility within the event, there will be a pneumatic train service for an additional cost. Security measures will include coordination of various police forces, civil protection, and regulations to ensure the safety of attendees.
Furthermore, Magical Nights with illuminated balloons will take place during the night performances, and parking options will be available with rates starting at 166 pesos per vehicle. It is important to note that during the event, the introduction of alcoholic beverages and outside food will not be allowed into the area.
